More about All on 4
St. George, UT

All on 4 implant diagram at Precision Dental Specialties in St. George, UTThe All-on-Four surgery is everyone in our office's favorite procedure. The immediate change our patients experience after surgery is often life-changing. We love to see the happy tears and smiles that come from our work.

What Are All-on-Four Dental Implants?

All On Four is the latest technology in full dental implants. All on Four replaces all of the teeth in an arch (upper or lower jaw) with only four dental implants and a teeth prosthesis that connects onto the implants.

The prosthesis is rigidly connected and is only removed occasionally by your dentist for maintenance or repair. This procedure is perfect for patients who are unhappy with conventional dentures as well as those who never want to wear them in the first place.

In this procedure, any and all teeth in the arch are removed and four implants are placed in specific locations using 3D imaging and computer guidance. A temporary prosthesis is then connected to the implants, giving you a beautiful and functional new smile in one day.

After an appropriate healing time, the temporary prosthesis is replaced with a final prosthesis made by your dentist. Hard or vigorous chewing is best avoided for the first few hours after the procedure as recovery time, but normal chewing is possible from the first day.

All On Four Recovery Process

Since these procedures are performed under anesthesia, the procedure is very easy for the patients. In fact, patients are often surprised at how little pain they experience after this procedure. The recovery time is lower than normal tooth extractions. The All on Four; denture is more comfortable than conventional dentures because they do not shift or rub on the gums nor do they put pressure on the areas of the jaw that are healing. Most patients report taking pain medication for only a day or two after the procedure.

Who Can Get All On Four Dental Implants?

Even if you have been told in the past that you are not a candidate for dental implants, they may be available to you now. The latest implant designs and placement procedures have made receiving an implant more accessible for a patient than ever before. Most cases do not even need additional bone grafting. In the case that bone grafting is necessary, there are many techniques available which can be performed the same day and use synthetic bone instead of needing to harvest bone from the patient.

As a practicing Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon for the last 29 years+ years, Dr. Bulloch has performed many hundreds of all-on-four procedures. He is well known among dentists for having the ability to successfully perform very difficult cases with degenerative bone throughout the state of Utah and surrounding areas.
